SalesRaga is a CRM for small and mid-sized businesses in India. We started it because the software built for this work stopped being usable somewhere around the point it became powerful.
The gap we kept seeing
Walk into a large company and the sales process is written down. Everyone follows it, every stage has an owner, and there is software for each step of it.
Walk into a growing business doing the same work and it runs on a notebook, a spreadsheet and a few WhatsApp groups. That is rarely because the team does not care. It is because sales software was built for people who enjoy software, and most salespeople did not take the job to learn a new tool.
What changed our mind about building one
For twenty years the answer to this was training. Teach the team the CRM, then hope the habit survives a busy quarter. It usually did not.
AI changes the shape of that problem. Software takes instructions in plain language now, so the interface stops being the thing you have to learn, and the CRM becomes the place your work is kept rather than a screen to master. Nobody needs training to hold a conversation.
That is why we build the boring parts properly first, and why our AI work goes into making the product easier to use rather than into another dashboard.
How we decide what to build
Every decision runs through one question: can a rep who has never used a CRM do this on their first morning, without being shown? That rules out a great deal — settings that must be configured before anything works, screens that assume you already know the vocabulary, features that exist to win a comparison table.
We build for businesses with up to around 300 salespeople. Large enough that the spreadsheet has stopped working, small enough that a six-month rollout and a consultant on the invoice are out of the question.
Who we are
We are IIT graduates, and the engineering team comes from India's top institutions.
You will not find our faces on this page. We would rather be judged on whether your team actually opens the product on a Tuesday afternoon, which is a harder test than a founder photo and a good deal more useful to you.
If any of this sounds like your team, the quickest way to judge it is to see the product. If you would rather just ask something, write to us at [email protected].
